Linked by the Aikido explanatory Enbu (demonstration) that we presented in front of about 300 audiences at Shinbukan Dojo, Kumamoto City on 23 November 1953, we held Aikido beginner training sessions for about 5 times by the end of the year.

The Kuhonji Ankiro Dojo was opened by a group of like-minded persons on 10 January 1954, and we started Aikido training on the next day, 10 January. And we opened the current Dojo, Kumamoto Manseikan on 2 October 1955 and it became a cornerstone for spreading Aikido in Kyushu area.

TAKEMUSU AIKI

We have a framed calligraphy "TAKEMUSU AIKI" on our Dojo.

The calligraphy was thankfully written and sent to Manseikan by the Aikido founder, the O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba when he visited Kumamoto on May 1961.

The calligraphy says "TAKEMUSU AIKI donated to Manseikan Sunadomari Dojo by Tsunemori, mother of Takemusu Aiki - spring of the Age of the Gods".
